Contact someone who lives within your state. In most cases, transporting eggs or keets across state lines requires purchases from a flock that is NPIP approved, including certification(s) and health papers. Keets need body heat from each other during shipment to keep warm. Small numbers may not survive a shipment outside a warm brooder. Older keets and adults cannot survive long shipments without food or water, which is why hatcheries sell day old keets in larger numbers. (day old keets can survive for up to 3 days on the yolk they digested prior to hatching.) Private breeders can sell smaller numbers of keets to a buyer who can pick them up and get them into a brooder right away. In many cases, the COLOR OF KEETS available will be pot luck from free ranging guineas that choose their own mates.color chart If you need a new incubator, poultry supplies, a large number of guinea keets or specific purebred colors, here is a link to recommended Suppliers and Commercial Hatcheries .

| GFBA Members try to frequent the Guinea Fowl Message Board on a daily basis, Fowl House Chat on a weekly basis, and try to attend the special GFBA Convention annually to keep up to date with current techniques and research regarding the raising and breeding of guinea fowl. GFBA members with golden guineas are highly recommended. A Golden Guinea awarded to a GFBA member represents participation and knowledge gained for each annual GFBA convention attended. |
