The eggs on the right are both from guinea hens. The egg on the top is from the common Helmeted guinea hen. The egg on the bottom is from the French guinea hen. Notice that guinea hen eggs are nearly pointed at the smaller end. Often raised for meat because they grow faster and larger, (about 2 pounds heavier than the common Helmeted Guinea Fowl as adults) the French are colored identical to the Pearl, black with white spots. French guineas produce fewer eggs than the common guinea fowl.
