| "This is a picture
of "Little Red" the bantam rooster who shuns chickens and hangs out with
the guineas. He courts all of the guinea females, and
challenges the males. Here he is standing guard over a white female on the nest." Cindy B.. |

| Here
are a couple of the pictures of my "guard guineas' and the 10 point buck
that appeared at the back fence of the pasture. These were taken
Sep '2000. The deer was quite at home. Late that afternoon,
when I went out to the barn to call the guineas in for the night, here
came 24 guineas and one lone deer.
You have to remember that when I call, 'come on babiees, in a soft crooning voice, I was not expecting Mr. Deer to also trot out. I told my husband that no, I was not nuts. I had watched this deer all afternoon, and he acted like I had raised him. One of the neighbors said the deer knew my voice and scent. We leave feed out at the creek for the critters. Thanks,
Frit
